car seat belts for K9’s…

Given how much traveling we’ve been doing, it’s starting to occur to me that maybe I should get cici her own seat belt or seat or something… sometimes I strap her into the regular seat belt… and sometimes she has her own comfy back seat filled with fluffy pillows, blankets and sleeping bags… still a harness of some kind for safety purposes seems like a good idea… what do you think?

if you have a dog seat belt that you’d like me and cici to review, let us know…

here’s a few I found online…

  1. I love this blog, thanks for all the great tips here. I think that dog car seats are brill. I always like to know that my dog Mia is secure and comfortable in the car when I am driving. Thanks for this post.

  2. It’s difficult to find well-informed people about this subject, however, you seem like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks

The closet I’ve seen that’s actually RATED is a climbing harness for dogs called the DoubleBack by RuffWear. It’s rated to 2,000lb, so it’s only good for a 66lb dog at around 35mph. Faster speeds means you’ll need a slower dog or it exceeds the ratings.

Pet seat belts on the market DO NOT RATE THEIR HARNESSES, so don’t buy a commercial pet harness. Push RuffWear to make a harness rated at 65mph for dogs up to 100lb and donate to the Center for Pet Safety.
