high hopes pupcakes

We like the concept of buying and donating to pets at the same time.  The holiday season is soon upon us, and what better way to have your pupcake and eat it too, then to get your pooch some High Hopes healthy dog treats and share the love with homeless pets with each bite?

Cici loved her samples of the grain-free Mity Meaty Bites (organic turkey, sweet potato yummies) and the peanut butter and pumpkin baked cookies… droolalicious…

ok, here’s how it works…

They donate 3.5% from every sale (up to 15% of the company’s profits) of every product everyday to The High Hopes for Pets Foundation

And If you are a shelter with a bunch of homeless pets that need food, new digs, and more, apply for the $500 grant from the High Hopes Foundation… from October 1 thru Dec. 31, 2011.

Got a doggie birthday party or holiday coming up?  here are some tips…

Bobbing for hot dogs!  Try a Halloween favorite the dog’s way. Cut hot dogs in half or quarters. Fill a bucket with water and let the dogs bob! Not too scary (unless the hounds overeat) and a lot of fun for all!

Musical chairs for dogs

The traditional game has gone to the dogs! Set up chairs in a circle, and have owners and their pups walk around the circle. When the music stops, see which dog and owner are the last to sit. Keep eliminating pairs until the last two are standing!

The best dressed dog!

Have a dog fashion show and give prizes for best costume, most original and funniest costume.

About the founder:

Creating a brand that would help erase the issue of animal homelessness is an idea originated by Paula Etchison. A life-long animal lover, and parent to both dogs and cats, Paula’s passionate about pets and the idea of businesses giving back to the communities they serve. Paula believes businesses should be fun, learning-oriented places to work where people help one another to do well and do the right thing. Hence the company name Good Squared – being good and doing good at the same time.

She carried around the idea of Birthday and Celebration cupcakes  in her head for nearly 10 years, and after twenty years of working for other companies, she thought it was time to start her own. Friends who know her well will attest that she sets high standards for herself and the people around her, and it’s her hope that you can see the same caring and passion in High Hopes’ products.

  1. I hadn’t heard of High Hopes before and I’m so glad to learn about it. What a great idea! I can’t wait to make the cupcakes for my dog’s birthday. 🙂

  2. A new product to check out – I can’t wait! The mighty meaty bites look intriguing and I’m sure my pack would agree. But what they’ll really go bonkers for is their very own cupcakes! Heck, I might even have to sample one! Thank you!
